Phoenix Gay Bars

Bar1 is a gay and lesbian neighbourhood bar in North Phoenix with plenty to keep you occupied, from billiards and darts to karaoke and specialty nights. Inside, you’ll find a fireplace, lounge seating, bar seats, and pool tables, while the spacious patio has its own bar access and can be heated or cooled year-round.

Daily drink specials keep the drinks reasonably priced, and there’s a cheese board if you fancy a snack. Hungry? Bring your own food or order DoorDash. And did we mention it's a dog-friendly bar, too? 

Kobalt Bar is where Phoenix goes for drag, karaoke, and a little friendly competition. Drag shows run four nights a week, featuring Arizona performers and visiting talent in productions including Visionaries, The 4Some Revue, Follies, The Queer Arcana and Cirque Du So Trey. Award-winning karaoke runs Sundays, Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9pm, while Tuesdays also bring trivia hosted by Rubye Moore.

There are also themed nights, local entertainment, and special events throughout the week. Grab a craft cocktail or local draft beer, settle onto the patio, or catch a viewing party on the bar’s huge projection screen.

OZ Bar (since 2000) is an LGBT-oriented bar in Phoenix with a pool table, dart boards, spacious outdoor patio, and themed events every night of the week.

Weekly events include karaoke night and poker game nights. There are happy hour drink deals and free WiFi available.

Pat O's Bunkhouse Saloon is a Phoenix gay bar with four upgraded BullShooter electronic soft-tip dart boards, pool tables and a second bar out on the patio. The crowd is predominantly local rather than touristy, with bears and leather enthusiasts in particular.

Weekdays tend to be quieter, while weekends and Sundays pick up. Add cheap drinks, generous pours, karaoke and live music, and you’ve got a proper neighborhood bar where you can simply turn up and settle in.

On occasion, you'll find a specialty food truck outside, offering Puerto Rican cuisine.

Cruisin’ 7th has been a Phoenix LGBTQ+ landmark since 1977, with a cocktail lounge, drag bar, and dedicated cabaret room for its shows. Saturday is drag night, with a rotating cast of performers bringing something different to the stage each week.

The main bar has a pool table, dart board, and jukebox, while a covered patio gives you somewhere to take the drinks outside. Cheap drinks and live entertainment round out the night.

Anvil is a casual gay leather bar close to the Downtown area of Phoenix famed for its sexy bears and themed nights.

Anvil holds regular karaoke and open mic nights, and many of their parties have live dancers for your pleasure. Although the men are attractive, the atmosphere here is rather calm and laid-back as Anvil is a venue where the leather tribe come to relax with each other.

Drinks are cheap as is the interior, but that won't stop you from having a good time.

Title 9 Sports Grill is a women-centered sports bar in Phoenix, led by the owner of Boycott Bar. Inspired by the Title IX legislation, the landmark ruling that opened the doors for women in sports, this sports bar focuses on celebrating women’s achievements in athletics and promoting equal representation in sports media.

The menu features wings, sliders, salads, and creative dishes named after legendary female athletes. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan choices are available, along with beers, ciders, and spirits from women-owned brands. Title 9 Sports Grill regularly hosts events and watch parties, offering a welcoming space for fans and families to support women’s sports in Phoenix.

Nu Towne Saloon is Phoenix’s longest-running gay bar, serving up cheap drinks and a welcoming atmosphere for more than 50 years. The eclectic, kitschy decor changes with the seasons, adding to the laid-back, anything-goes vibe. There’s always something happening, from karaoke to special events, plus an outdoor patio that’s perfect for a relaxed night out.
